Hello, everybody. Welcome to unfuck your life and embrace your awesomeness. I'm Lisa. Your host, and hello, gorgeous beings. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for all of you who are subscribing to my channel. I really appreciate it. And for those who haven't yet, could you just take a moment and hit the subscribe button? That would be awesome. thank you. So gorgeous beings. I don't know how much I have talked about own battles, struggles, hatred of my body size, my body shape. I've starved my body, I've stuffed My body. I've moved my body to the point of so much complete exhaustion. And then I've also sat like a lump on a couch.
Eating the equivalent of bomb bons all day binging. on TV. That the story was just insane when it came to my body, because I was, I was focusing on all the things , I wasn't tall. I wasn't blonde. I didn't have big bodacious boobies. I didn't have legs that were six feet long and, I couldn't wear like the perfect size two or I didn't, fill out.
a top in such a way. And story, story, story, story, story, story. Calgon, take me away already. Holy smokes. Jimy, fucking crickets and everywhere I would look in magazines or the exercise videos or come on, you can do it. Or when I lived in the middle east, when I lived in guitar, there were all of these.
Fitness instructors that wanted you to drop three kilos a week. Do you guys know how much three kilos is 2.2. Pounds is a kilo. and so that's 6.6 pounds every fucking week. Are you goddamn? Fucking kidding me. I mean, it. it's just move, move, move, pain, pain, pain, and oh my God. Your body is a beautiful living, breathing organism. And she is, she is you. And she's still alive And she still tries, even though if your story is anything like mine. You talked a bunch of shit to your body for a long fucking time. I, I, I was anorexic and then I was bulimic, and I was an exercise fiend and sitting on the couch and story, story, story, story, story, story story. Because I wasn't listening.
I wasn't doing what was fun for me when it came to moving, when it came to selecting foods that my body liked, not just some, something to try to stuff and hide the pain and go into some kind of coma, a food coma so that I wouldn't have to think or anything like that.
And when I would work with others, when I would work with other people, if I'd work with other hypnotherapist or different kinds of coaches and they would yell, yell, yell about how I was moving my body, I can remember the last specific time someone who I thought was a friend associate. He actually pissed when I wouldn't hire him.
Anyway, he said, what are you doing to move your body? And I'm like, the first thing I do is I take my dogs. For a two mile walk. That's not exercise. and That's why you gotta be doing this and you gotta be at the gym and you gotta be lifting weights and walking into your dog. is don't exercise. Hey, listen. I have three big dogs. Trust me, walking. My dogs is exercise, especially when they don't wanna do.
what I want them to do it doesn't matter what anybody else thinks is exercise. It only matters. It only matters how that you move your body. And it doesn't just matter that you move your body it's moving your body with joy. That means that when you go walking, you are not after walking a 10 minute mile, a five minute mile, a four minute mile. You're not into running like this, You are doing what feels right for With a smile on your face. A song in your heart, that sparkle that I talk about a lot. Because when it comes to tips and tricks, when it comes to body groove, That's it it's grooving with your body. It's is it music? I will turn on. I love Amazon music. I will say, Alexa, can you play born to be alive?
And Alexa says in her voice playing Born to be alive and similar And the music starts playing and off I go walking and I get introduced to all different kinds of music. That's fun like that born to be alive is a song that I remember listening to with my cousins when I was 14 years old. And we were all at my grandparents' house in Walnut Grove.
Minnesota for, the Gren For one of the many Gren family reunions and there's just so many pleasant memories and the song, it just jives. And then it's okay, play me something by play me confident by Demi lavado. Oh, my God. I just love that song. I love a lot of the stuff that she records there is this.
That spark there's that little joy. There's that hope for joy? There's that knowingness, that feeling this for joy because moving your body it's not, it's not something you have to do. It's not a painting. It's not a fucking punishment. To move your body. It's joyful. It's.
It's, I wear a Fitbit and people ask me all the time, why do I wear a Fitbit? And I wear a Fitbit. And it hooks to my bra. The one that I have, it hooks to my bra. So I can look at it at any point in time. And it doesn't accidentally come off if I've hooked it to a belt or my waist or wearing one on my wrist that.
on That doesn't count if I'm pushing a grocery character, or something like a shopping cart. Or something like that. or I fit that all the time? and Because it's on my bra, Sometimes it sticks out and people are like, oh my God, I can see Foot bitt and stuff like that. I wear a Fitbit. Because every day, I challenge myself to move between 10 and 15,000 steps a day. For me, that is for me. And it doesn't matter how fast I move those step steps. It doesn't matter how many flights of stairs I've climbed. It doesn't matter how fast I've walked. It doesn't matter if I've walked forward or backwards or in a circle.
It doesn't matter if I've chased my tail. It doesn't matter if I go three steps. forward and two steps back or two steps forward and three steps back. Every fucking step. Counts. Everything you do counts. Don't let anybody tell you any kind of bullshit where you've gotta have your heart rate at such and such for, and this amount of time, or you've gotta be.
I can't even think what All the bullshit stuff is that they say anymore. And as I say this I know that there are fitness gurus out there There are people that are just so committed to their physical health and, Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. You are the ones most likely not listening to this particular podcast, because it's all about the relationship with the body.
It's all about as you are doing all of that push. What is the reason why you were doing that? Why are you moving your body? Because your mo, your body? Is this. . Beautiful. That's right. I said your body is beautiful. I never saw that. When my weight. When I weighed, 150 pounds or I weighed 140 pounds, or even when I weighed 117 pounds, or even when I weighed 264 pounds, there was always there's too much skin there. There's extra fla there. There's, wrinkles here. There's oh my God. Look at all that fucking cellulite.
My belly jiggles, my butt wobbles. I, those were the things that I was focused on as opposed to, oh my goodness. You know what? Oh, wow. My breathing. I can feel myself breathing. I can feel my lungs expanding. I watch body groove. Sometimes I don't just watch it. I do body groove and I just love, love, love the instructors that work with body groove. And she says, don't be moving your body just like me. You can copy some of the steps, move your body the way you wanna move your body.
If you are sitting down dancing, if you're doing some chair dancing. Perfect. If you are doing leg exercises, sitting in your chair. Perfect. Whatever it is. That you're moving. It only matters that you're moving. I bought water fountains for all of my animals to drink out of. And. If the dogs are the cat they're given just a dish of water, they don't like it very much. They like to drink from the moving water. They love to drink the water that is circulating. It's moving. In fact, two of them drink from the top just where the water is flowing out of.
And a couple of them will drink right down at the bottom. There's four, there's, four critters in all, because it's all about movement and flow. And it's all about enjoying the movement when you hate it, when you're like, God, I can't wait till this is fucking over. We all feel like that. You know what? Stop in that moment. Stop. And then there's all a conversation. Oh, but there's a but this stop.
Right then and there, because your mindset's totally fucked. You up in the wrong way.
The number one, tip and trick. Is to enjoy. And have fun with what you're doing. So here's some of the ways that I have fun. When I am walking, oh, I've got my dogs and I'm walking outside where I can look at birds. I can. bunnies. There's all kinds of different things that are going on out there. I walk in the malls because I love the energy of people in the malls. I love I'm very aesthetic.
I'm an artist. And so I just love seeing all the different colors and how things are arranged. And every store that I go into and keep walking through, because it doesn't matter how fast or slow I am moving. It only matters that I am moving and I am feeding. I'm getting all that eye candy, all of the.
Those good vib. juices flowing and a couple of the stores. Oh my goodness. in one of the malls that I will walk in sometimes on cold days, there are no less than five stores that have. Really cool things Two of them are owned, Two of them are owned by artists. One of them is furniture store that specializes in furniture and things from the middle east. And I lived in the middle east for many years. And so I just absolutely love fabrics and the masks and.
Just all these different kinds of things that they've created. And then there's another store that has a lot of stuff from central and south America. And another store that I go to has a lot of stuff. From Africa. And free trade of course. And fair trade, I guess not free trade fair trade.
And all of that feeds my eyes and it feeds my soul and it feeds my smile. Some of you may want to listen to a book on tape. There's all kinds of different books that, that if you're just listening to a book, that's a murder mystery, or you're listening to an inspiring book. You're listening to somebody's biography or anything like What. Lights you up as you're moving, what's easy for you to do. I will carry my little iPhone because it's much lighter than a big book or anything else. And I'll just hit play as I am going and just cruising along. And I really love listening to the bad-ass books.
As I am walking because she's just, I just love how she writes. I just love her expressions. And so, as you are walking, what are, or however you're moving your body, what are some of the mantras, the things that you are saying to yourself? Are you saying, oh, I can't do this. It never works. It doesn't matter what I do. I never get to my body. is just always fucked and I'm just always going to be fat and everybody in my family is fat. And so it's just going to happen to me too.
Or is your mindset, you know what. I believe. in miracles, I believe in a lot of miracles. and I see so many miracles happen for other people and I get to have some too. Do it with that kind of energy. Whatever your little spark delicious bodacious energy is it is Ooh, how much fun is it? Because then there come those days. I don't know if any of you have ever experienced this. There comes the day when.
Holy fucking shit. My thighs, don't touch as I'm walking and then, oh my goodness. There's this huge dance. in my step, sometimes I do a little skip. It's oh my God.
Oh my God. oh my God.
I can feel my waist. And you know what, when you just imagine what it feels like to feel your waist, you just imagine what it feels like that your thighs aren't touching anymore, and how much fun that you are having during this process. And when it isn. joyful and it isn't fun. If you're feeling tired.
You just simply stop. This goes against what people say about training. We are working on your manifestation mindset. We are working on your groove, your body groove. We are working on. You and your body. Forming this relationship that you had when you were very small and your body was so much fun to explore, as you could touch your toes and you sucked on your toes and you were just like, Wow. What happened to my nose? And you were just.
Utterly fascinated. And this is the connection that exists. Your soul, your body, spirit, your joy. They're all here to support you. It's not, this is not a self-hate club. I am, my God. I was president of a self-hate club for so many fucking years. I wouldn't wish that. Upon anyone. I wouldn't wish it upon anyone the way I hated.
My body once upon a time. And I had that same experience. At 120 pounds as I did a 264 pounds. Because I didn't get for the longest time and I still need to remind myself of this. that What are you thinking and what are you feeling? What is your why? Because you know what. I would love it when I'm in my nineties to still be moving. Like my grandma Grund, my grandma, Grund, she died when she was 95.
And up until the very end, the woman walked all the time. As a matter fact, she, even the nursing home. She wasn't in a nursing home. She was in one of those homes that would provide whatever level of care was required. So some people had more assisted living care and others. and she was just pretty much living on living her own and eating meals and stuff with everyone.
And she would take the stairs and there came a point when she had gotten ill and she had fallen down and they were making her. Use, they were insisted upon her using a Walker. We do believe that she refused to use the elevator. She folded up the Walker and she put it over her arm and she held onto the railing as she walked down the stairs.
And I There's the spirit of this woman. And do you know what? She didn't start walking until she was 64 years. old. so yeah, she had walked for 30, 30 years. However, she didn't start until she was 64. She was convinced she would die at the age of 64 because. Nearly everyone in her family had. So talk about manifesting mindset, right? And the doctor told her, you had she had an angioplasty, her arteries were clogged.
And the doctor said, all you gotta do is walk. If you would walk four miles a day She's 64 years old at this point. Can you imagine the doctor telling you to walk four miles a day? And boom. She took 'em on and she decided to do it. And at first as she's out there walking all the time. Everybody, cuz you live in a small community, everybody would stop. Dorothy, do you need a ride?
Dorothy, do you need a ride? Did something happen? Where's your car how can we help you? And she said, I'm out here. I'm doing my steps. I am walking four miles a day. That's what I do now. And it is just so fabulous. How cool is it that. boom. She carries the Walker down the stairs because she loved to move.
She had so much fun with it. It's not about.
It is not just about my 10 to 15,000 steps a day. It's how much joy did I allow myself to experience? Did I allow myself to receive. As I was moving my body as I was moving my body was I stuck in a mindset where I had some negative spiraling thoughts that does happen to me. Sometimes. And it's like, at that point, it's a stop. Okay. Reset, stop reset. When I become aware of it. The more you practice it, the easier it gets moving your body is for you. It is for you. It is for you so that you can be on the, so you can ride the roller coasters. I had an awakening moment. One time when I was with my daughter and we went to six flags.
And I was pretty heavy at the time, really heavy at the time. And as I was putting on the that overhead thing that clicks into place, you know, that harness thing that you that you click in on the roller coaster. And I couldn't get it to click and I kept going and I kept going and believe it or not, by fucked up mindset said, okay, I'll just hold it. I'll just hold it here. And can you believe that I finally.
Through determination. I got that sucker to click. And so that when they walked by, yes, it was stuck. And I was, I could barely breathe inside of that. However, I got on the roller coaster. Can you believe that the very next day, the very next day on that exact same rollercoaster. The very next day. My daughter didn't wanna tell me at first.
And she told me later, she's mom, somebody died because their harness wasn't clicked because she didn't say anything to me about it at the time, but she could see how humiliated. I was feeling when I couldn't get that. To click. It's not about hating your body in any way, shape or form. It is about loving yourself. First. Moving your body second. With that loving, loving energy. And as you build up that connection, as you are manifesting that love in your body responds. And then it's body. I would really like to be able to walk a 5k.
I would really like to be able to vacuum the floor without having to stop three times to sit down. that happened to me. I was in the hospital a few years ago. And I know how many steps it is to walk around my house because once upon a time, I could only do five or six of them. And I know how good it feels to be able to walk.
And then when it comes the experience. cuz at first it's fuck am I ever gonna get 15,000 steps in a day? And then and to do it with joy. And now it's oh my goodness. It's just so easy. Here it is. It's only noon. And I got 13,000 steps on holy smokes. How did that happen? Ben, Because I was so busy having fun and just moving the more you move, the more that you can move and the more joy that you allow yourself to receive.
As you're moving, the more joy that you just simply allow yourself to have in your fucking life, whether you're sitting on your ass. Whether you are chatting with friends, whether you are moving your body. It is all about the more joy that you allow yourself to receive. everything else comes from Everything else. Comes from there. So. If going to the gym, wasn't a punishment. If that was the reward. If the walk was the reward, if, the Running up and down the stairs was the reward. If the walking parking your car at the end of the parking lot. So you got a few more steps in, was the reward, how much more joy?
And fun. And fitness and fabulousness and spark deliciousness Will you allow yourself to experience. Not just in your body in your heart in your mind.
Ah. In your sex life in your relationships. in your job in your abundance. Because how you do one thing is how you do everything. And gorgeous being, ugh. You are so worthy. Of absolute fantabulous, spark, deliciousness. That is your right.
Say it to yourself. I deserve all the spark deliciousness. I choose. Yes. And feel that. In your gut. In your hearts. Coming out of your voice. In your mind. I ask you. How much fun and joy. Will you allow yourself to receive today? I wanna hear about it. Let me know. So until next time, gorgeous ones.
Body. groove. Have fun moving your bodacious body. Move in your fabulous bodacious body and I'll see you next time. Bye-bye.
